HAWAII MEDICAL ASSOCIATION TO HONOR DR. JOSH GREEN, DR. LIBBY CHAR AND DR. CALVIN SIA (POSTHUMOUSLY)
The Hawaii Medical Association (HMA) is hosting its annual gala event, Ola Pono Ike for the first time in three years. Scheduled for Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, this event celebrates the amazing achievements of Hawaii physicians while raising much-needed monies for select Hawaii medical nonprofits.

Ola Pono Ike also celebrates and recognizes the contributions made by Hawaii physicians during the past year. Special recognition will go to:
Dr. Josh Green & Dr. Libby Char, Co-Recipients
2021 – 2022 HMA Physician of the Year and 2021 – 2022 HMA President’s Award
Dr. Calvin Sia (posthumous)
HMA Lifetime Achievement Award


“The Hawaii Medical Association is proud to honor Dr. Josh Green and Dr. Libby Char as the 2021-2022 Physician of the Year for their leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said HMA President Dr. Angela Pratt,“when Hawaii’s healthcare community came together to vaccinate over 1 million people, protect our kupuna, and save thousands of lives. We are grateful for Dr. Green’s and Dr. Char’s service to our state and their dedication as physicians. We also honor Dr. Calvin Sia for his incredible dedication and lifetime of service to our community.”
