First Annual Pa`ina a Huge Success!

After not gathering as a physicians community for nearly three years, many HMA members asked if a casual event could be planned before our gala dinner, Ola Pono Ike, in the fall. It wasn’t long before the first annual HMA Pa‘ina was born!

Held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Oahu Country Club, HMA members, spouses, colleagues and students from JABSOM gathered for a night of food, conversation, and reconnecting as a community. The cocktail lounge and dining room were beautifully decorated by our students and volunteers. Entertainment was provided by Dr. Jazz during the cocktail hour and Olue‘a during dinner. The setting, staff and delicious Hawaiian food at OCC couldn’t have been better, and the evening ended with lots of
hugs, handshakes and people asking when the next event will take place!

Many thanks to our amazing volunteers: Ronlynn Arakaki, Anne Harpham, Beth Hoban, Jim Hoban, Stacy Nakano, Kalene Sakamoto, Karl Sakamoto, Brenda Wong, Kiman Wong. Mahalo to student coordinator Charissa Tam and our JABSOM student volunteers, and to Nicole Merendoni and the staff at the Oahu Country Club. And a special mahalo to Dr. Tom and Mrs. Mi Kosasa for hosting our event.

The Voice of One,
The Strength of Many.
