April 2022 Member Spotlight

My name is Dylan Singh, and I am 2nd year medical student at JABSOM. Over the past year I have had the privilege to be an elected student representative for the Board of Governors in the Honolulu County Medical Society (HCMS). In addition, I am an active student member in the Honolulu Medical Association (HMA).

Both HMA and HCMS have allowed for active participation between local physicians and medical students, fostering a culture of collaboration and mentorship. I am glad to be a part of such wonderful organizations that have provided me the opportunity to network with and meet many great mentors in various fields of medicine.

In addition, at the annual Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons conference held on Maui, I presented our work on “Preventing Iatrogenic Implant Infections Using a 16-Step No-Touch Protocol”. This work was recently accepted for publication.

I look forward to continuing to be involved with HMA throughout my training, as a physician and as a community member in Hawaii!

The Strength of Many.
