Submissions Being Sought for the 7th Annual Hawaii Journal of Health & Social Welfare Writing Contest

The 7th annual Hawaiʻi Journal of Health & Social Welfare writing contest is open!  Up to three cash prizes of $500 each will be awarded. The contest will close on December 31, 2021 at 5 p.m. HST, and winners will be announced in January 2022.


The contest is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled in a medical, nursing, dental, pharmacy, social work, or public health program, and to professional researchers who recently graduated from such a program (within the last 12 months).

The HJH&SW writing contest winners will have their research articles published in a future issue of the journal. Exceptional entries that do not win a prize will be invited to submit their papers for publication in the journal through an expedited submission process.
